First Port Day - Cabo San Lucas
Posted Wed, Sep 30th 2009, 02:32First port day and we are ready, fortunately for a few in the group who stay up very late last night, we did not dock until 9:30 AM. We all left the ship at various times to pickup our shore excursions while a few spent the day going from shop to restaurant and then to the next shop and the next restaurant. Of course, as expected in Mexico, the entertainment in each restaurant is a big draw especially when the weather is hot and humid!
I have been to Cabo San Lucas more then a few times and have experience many if not most of the shore excursions. So, this time I decided to try a culinary excursion. I booked the Cabo Cusine and Beach Resort. We made three types of salsa; cooked handmade blue corn tortillas, watch the chef make authentic Mexican Tortilla Soup and drank mango margaritas. Now nothing could be better, except perhaps the excursion I booked for tomorrow in Mazatlan – Salsa, Salsa, and Margaritas! You make salsa, dance the salsa, and drink margaritas. I believe my name is written all over this excursion. I will give you an update tomorrow—I hope!
